Extreme Sports and Activities on the Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is perhaps one of the best places in England for extreme sports.  In October the Island plays host to the White Air Festival which promotes the likes of kite surfing, windsurfing, jet skiing, mountain boarding, mountain biking and paragliding to name just a few.

The festival takes place at Sandown where there are tents and marques featuring bands and extreme sports displays as well as food and drink stalls.  No matter what your age or ability, this festival is fantastic to come along and take part in, not only to see what is on offer, but to watch true professionals at the peak of their sport making what they do look effortless.

The Island benefits from a south westerly prevailing wind making the Island so special for watersports.  This coupled with our stunning scenery makes the Island unique.  There are various companies offering you the chance to go sailing in the Solent and surfing in the West Wight.
